Private Royal Mile walking tour in Edinburgh
Spend the afternoon strolling through the streets of Edinburgh's Old Town.  Hear about Edinburgh's history, characters and events that shaped this wonderful city.  The Royal Mile leads down from Edinburgh Castle to the Palace of Holyroodhouse.  If you have a special interest let us know we can tailor for you.  Harry Potter, Outlander or the Jacobite's or a mix of everything, history, architecture and people from the past.

The tour starts at the top of the Royal Mile at 2pm. From here most of the tour will be downhill in directions.  You will explore the Lawnmarket and it's Closes before heading down in to the Grassmarket.  Once the site of the Cattle Market and the West Port (Gate to the City). You will then head into Greyfriar's, here you will hear about some of Edinburgh's characters, see the Flodden Wall from 1513 and there are some Harry Potter connections here too.  We will also here about the herb gardens and a little dog called Bobby.
On the Royal Mile again you will see St Giles, the City Chambers, and much more.  There is the option for a coffee break if you require it.
Onwards to John Knox House and Tweeddale Court before we stop at the World's End.  Entering the Canongate you will see the difference between the two towns and hear about the difference in living conditions.  Walk around the Canongate Kirk and hear about the Tolbooth.  Eventually you will reach the Palace of Holyroodhouse and Scottish Parliament and the end of the tour.
