Etna Day Trip From Syracuse
Enjoy Mount Etna, the highest active Vulcano of Europe. A wonderful expression of the nature with his 3343 meters high.  Start Your day trip from centrally located meeting point in Siracusa, You will reach the base station at 1900mt "Refuge  Sapienza". Here you can visit Silvestri Craters admiring wonderful panoramas and refresh yourself in typical bar or trattoria. Optional ascent with cable car and jeep with the authorized Alpine Guide until 3000mt. Return to Siracusa around 4PM

Your day trip will start at 9AM from the main bus station in Siracusa in Via Rodi 11. Our English,German and Italian speaking tour leader will welcome You on board. Proceeding to Mt. Etna you will hear about Sicilian Stories and Natural characteristics of the highest Active Vulcano of Europe. After 1 hour and 15 minutes driving, passing through the wonderful Etna landscape, You will reach the base camp "Refuge Sapienza" at 1900mt. Visit the marvelous  extinct Silvestri Craters, take souvenir pictures of the areas. Free time to take walks on the old lava flows. Time for refresh yourself with light lunch in typical bar, trattorias and pizzerias. Optional Ascent to the main authorized Craters area at 3000mt with cable car, Jeep and the English speaking Alpine Guide. Staying 45 minutes in this lunar landscape you will feel all the power of the Vulcano with the possibility of walking around the area of the main Craters, (not the central one) observing the little smoking Craters and bringing home with You an unrepeatable experience.
At 2.30PM meeting with our tour leader again and drive back to Siracusa.
Expected Return in Siracusa bus station is around 4PM.
