Explore History with the World Map Quiz Game
Do you love history, geography, and a good challenge? Then this interactive world map quiz game is perfect for you! Test your knowledge of historical events by guessing the correct years they happened—but be careful: every wrong answer costs you precious years. Can you complete all the countries before time runs out?
How to Play
1. Starting the Game
When you first open the game, you'll see a world map with countries highlighted in different colors:
- Red: Countries with questions (ready to play)
- Green: Countries you've already completed
- Gray: Countries without questions (inactive)
Click the "Start Game" button to begin.
2. Choosing a Country
Click on any red-highlighted country to start its quiz. You'll be given 10 historical questions about that nation, each asking you to guess the correct year an event occurred.
3. Answering Questions
- Type your answer (a year) into the text box and click "Check Answer."
- If you're correct, you'll move to the next question.
- If you're wrong, you'll lose years equal to how far off your guess was (e.g., guessing "1492" instead of "1453" costs you 39 years).
- You start with 1,000 years—use them wisely!
4. Winning & Losing
- Complete all 10 questions to finish the country and turn it green on the map.
- Run out of years? The round ends, and you'll have to try again.
Tracking Your Progress
The game keeps track of:
- Completed countries (highlighted in green)
- Your remaining years
- Individual scores per country
Viewing Statistics
Click the "Statistics" button to see:
